So my camera sold, real fast too with six people asking to buy it in the first two days :D I am now the proud new owner of a Canon T2i (aka 550D) A lovely 18mp DSLR with the added bonus of full HD video capability. I have the standard Canon 18-55mm IS lens, and also added a Canon 55-250mm IS lens to my collection. IS (image stabilization) is amazing, I want it on all my lenses, but they get expensive, specially in the L series.

Anyway, I've taken some photos around the house, and while I don't consider them to be really great, I don't think they're all that bad either, so I'll be uploading a few soon. Really looking forward to going out and getting some great shots in the future.

Shadows...is where I've been hiding; I am a Shadow Deviant after all! I've worked a little, key word little. Shooting random photos but rarely anything I feel worthy of posting here. Perhaps I will begin posting regularly again, I'm not certain. It will really depend on how much I shoot, and if any of it is worth putting up. I guess we'll see. Mainly I just wanted to say hello to everyone who's still lurking around :) I've been a member of this site for eight years now, it's insane :o

Yep. I'm alive. Shh don't tell!

I hate it when DA changes their background colours and my little journal post things no longer blend properly any longer. ugh, this is like the fifth time in the years I've been here, soo annoying. Specially when I don't know where I put the layered PSD of said images.

Merry Christmas, Joyful holidays, Happy Solstice... whatever works for you! I hope you had a good one, and I hope you all have a wonderful new years. As new years eve is my birthday, I shall be out blowing things up with my friends. This year should be a blast, I hear we have -quite- a few fireworks (like half a container), rockets of all sorts, festival balls, etc. We do this every couple of years, puts those "professional" firework shows to shame :D

Yes, ariel fireworks are illegal here, but nobody cares. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said the police would have to arrest over half the islands population for lighting them on new years eve. It's like a night of anarchy, but in a good way. It's so fitting that on the day of my birth, everyone decides to break the law, bwahahaha.
